Exclusivity and qualification are separate
Exclusive describes distribution. Qualified describes screening. A lead can be exclusive without phone verification or a scheduled appointment. PLG uses intent-driven forms and does not phone-verify leads before delivery.
Ask whether a lead can be resold, how duplicates are handled, and what territory arrangements apply. Do not infer permanent rights to an entire ZIP code from the word exclusive alone.

Compare economics using your own pipeline
Record contact attempts, conversations, assessments, proposals and customers for each source. Shared providers and their terms vary; avoid assuming a fixed competitor count or a universal conversion advantage.
Relevant, timely follow-up still matters with an exclusive inquiry. Start from the reported concern, confirm the source water, and agree the appropriate next step.
- ✓Confirm recipient and resale rules in writing.
- ✓Review qualification and invalid-lead definitions.
- ✓Compare actual cost per customer, alongside inquiry prices.
- ✓Choose a volume your team can follow up on consistently.
Frequently asked
Questions installers ask
Does exclusive mean the homeowner only talks to me?
No. It describes how the provider distributes that inquiry. The homeowner may seek other estimates independently.
Are exclusive leads automatically phone verified?
No. Verification is a separate service. PLG’s inquiries are qualified through submitted forms, without phone calls before delivery.
Are shared leads always worse?
No universal result applies. Compare provider terms, fit, follow-up effort and your actual cost per customer.
